Cavs get set for tough test against Minnesota

The Virginia basketball team enters Monday's ACC/Big Ten Challenge match up with Minnesota with an early 3-3 record and plenty of questions to be answered. The Cavaliers left the Maui Invitational with a record of 1-2 after a win over Oklahoma and two losses to Washington and Wichita State. Minnesota enters Monday's game with a perfect 6-0 record and ranked in the top 20. The Golden Gophers will be without starters Al Nolen and Rodney Williams as both are out due to injury. Minnesota is led by senior guard Blake Hoffarber who is averaging 15 points per game and provides a tough match up for Virginia. A familiar name to Cavalier fans Ralph Sampson III will be making his second appearance against UVA and comes into the game averaging 13 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game. Mike Scott is leading Virginia in both scoring and rebounding averaging 16.5 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per game. The game can be seen on ESPN2 and 7 p.m.
